Rise Technologies are another newcomer to the "x86" processor market and so have yet to be seen on this side of the Atlantic. Claims are of the new Mp6 processor, is that it is very powerful whilst generating minimal heat output. It will initially be available in speeds of 166/200/233/266 MHz. To find out more, visit Rise Technologies website. Initail reports from the United States claim that the Mp6 does not meet the expectations of the claims made for it by Rise Technologies. If this is true the Mp6 will have a struggle to compete against offerings from both Intel and AMD who are dominating the desktop market.
